Let´s talk about food! About time too. When you live or travel overseas food and meals are just so important - at least they are to Ginger Gerald and his family. GG goes on a bit of a trip back to his childhood and discusses how his Mum produced so much food for 8 hungry lads! He also lists off a few of his local specialities and puts his neck on the line with a couple of, well, disappointing local items. And, to cap it all, we are introduced to the amazing and innovative "4DoubleU" formula which will give you no end of fun and debate with your family and friends. A sizzler of an episode. Bon Appetit!

• Food is massively important to GG's family and to all of us, even if our time abroad has been limited to the odd week in Benidorm.
• We'll tuck into a taco, devour a donner, savour a steak and pick at a paella!
• Let's blend that in with a few wholesome anecdotes & memories.
• Memories of food take us back to our favorite restaurant or our most memorable meal, or make us think about what's for tea tonight.
• Growing up in a family of 10 with 8 brothers, food was a significant part of life.
• Expert potato peelers and 8 pints of milk delivered every day to the doorstep.
• Mum was an amazing food factory who cooked for the family, but never went out for dinner from home.
• Fighting to make sure you got your fair share and that nothing was stolen from you led to being Mum's special helper in the kitchen.
• Enjoying raw pastry dates back to those times when you ate what was there, whatever it was, to make sure you got enough or even got a little bit more than someone else!
• Local specialties are a must-try whenever traveling, and everyone has their favorites
• Examples of delicious local specialties include Arepas in Venezuela, Ceviche in Peru, and cheesy oatcakes in North Staffordshire, England
• Raclette, a dish made with melted cheese scraped over potatoes and cold meats, is a favorite of those who have spent time in the Alps
• Another must-try local specialty is cochinita pibil, a Mayan-style spiced pork sandwich traditionally cooked in banana leaves
• Disappointing local specialties may include the Tunisian dish Brik and the Mallorcan Ensaimada
• The overall dining experience is a combination of four factors: WHERE, WHY, WHO & WHAT
• A new formula for gauging and comparing the best meals is the "4DoubleU"
• The 4DoubleU rates each aspect of the experience (WHERE, WHY, WHO & WHAT) on a scale of 1 to 10, with a maximum score of 40
• A memorable birthday dinner in Barcelona scored a 38 out of 40 using the 4DoubleU formula
• The challenge is to apply the 4DoubleU formula to relive and rate the best meals one has ever had wherever they have been and to share the ratings on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
